It is said that once every 10,000 years, a child capable of reading and understanding the ancient Jewish scriptures for Demon resurrection, will be born into the world. Written 2 years after the end of the Original Akuma-kun rental comic book, Shigeru Mizuki revisits his characters and changes the entire theme of the story. In this version, Akuma-kun's name has been changed from Ichiro Matsushita to Shingo Yamada in order to tie-in with the black and white television drama that aired on Japanese T.V at the same time as publication. In this version, Akuma-kun is a kindhearted boy that seeks to defeat evil demons and Yokai with the help of his reluctant friend, Mephisto, for the better good of society.

Little Ghost Q-Taro, by Fujiko Fujio, is a Japanese manga about a ghost, Q-Taro who lives with the Ohara family. Q-Taro, also known as Q-chan or Oba-Q, is a mischief-maker who likes to fly around scaring people and stealing food, though he is deathly afraid of dogs. The story is usually focused on the antics of Q-Taro and his friends. The manga was drawn in 1964–1966 by Fujiko Fujio (Fujiko F. Fujio and Fujiko Fujio A) and in 1971–1974 by only Fujiko F. Fujio. An English manga volume was published in Japan as Q the Spook.

He has no name and is only referred to by the name of his sword. Though he appears human, he is pure oni. Believing that he will become human once all of his kind vanished from the world of humans, he sets out on his destiny to slay all of his kind. Even now, in the mother world of Japan, he is still out there slaying oni.

A collection of seven of Hideshi Hino's terrifying and fantastic works. In "The Blooming Forest", the first story, the Cherry Blossom Forest is said to be a place that must never be approached. It is said that a beautiful but terrifying demon named Sakurahime lives there and kills people who pass nearby by inviting them into the forest. But Taro, who does not believe in demons, wanders deep into the forest because it is so beautiful and Sakurahime finds him... The fourth story, "Mermaid in a Manhole" was later adapted into the horror movie of the same name as part of the "Guinea Pig" series, with Hideshi Hino himself directing.

A mysterious old woman appears before doctor Rasetsu Emma, who has recently lost his son in an accident. She says she can bring Daio back to life. After agreeing to this sinister proposal, Daio returns to his father, but to Rasetsu's horror, he is half decomposed and inhuman. To make him human again, he needs fresh human organs. Rasetsu does everything he can to reincarnate his son, but Daio just turns into a different kind of monster. No one can stop him as he continues to feed his hunger, claiming victim after victim.

A fighting manga set in China. Ramenman, the main character, travels from place to place, fighting various enemies. Originally debuting in Yudetamago's other early work, Kinnikuman, Ramenman became so popular (more so than Kinnikuman himself), that he got his own spinoff. It was serialized from June of 1982 to December of 1988 in Fresh Jump (officially ending in the January 23, 1989 issue, due to the suspension of the magazine itself). It was made into an animated series in 1988. Since the Ramenman in this series seems to have no direct connection to Kinnikuman's Ramenman, it is assumed that this series is set in a parallel world. There is also the belief that this Ramenman is supposed to be the ancestor of Kinnikuman's Ramenman.
