Originally published in Issue 32/1995 (October 20th) of Gakuen Mystery. "Kaidan" can mean both "Stairs" and "Ghost Story" depending on what kanji it is written with.

A one-shot that appeared in September 1968 issue of Garo [ガロ]. This was reworked in 1973 in an issue of COM that can be found in My Devil Comes.

Who lives in that ivy-covered mansion? The gate with its solid bars has not been opened in a long time. Every time Yuri passes it on her way to school, she feels two piercing eyes on her. They belong to the man who lives in that cursed house! Yet Yuri, dragged by a sinister call, feels compelled to cross its threshold... Little does she know that the gates of hell have just swung open!
