Ritsu inherited his sixth sense from his grandfather, along with a demon guardian named Blue Storm. Strange things just seem to happen around these two, and it's left to them to get to the bottom of all these mysterious events. Each story is independent but features recurring characters you'll come to know and appreciate as they, each in their own way, try to deal with things 'not of this world'. There are many perils in this desert world. Countries war and enslave, goblins prey on humans, monsters and magic run amok, and — most critically — wells run dry. Those desperate for water may undertake an ancient water prayer ritual, a grueling journey to beg the aid of Kahaku, the god of water. These are the various stories of people from all walks of life, each driven by their need to survive in that world and save the ones they love. Sometimes, these desperate souls cross paths with a pair of travelers, En and Jinghua, who help them on their journey. A series of interconnected oneshots, each volume with a different title. When Satoshi Kashiwabara went to Nichoume, he fell in love for the first time with Nichoume's prince, a known playboy. It's a romantic comedy about step-brothers suddenly living together, knowing they can't be together.

He's also the patron of a suspicious male geisha, Yosaburou, who will do anything for money and has no talent, except for telling ghost stories. It may or may not be true that the young master is making amorous advances toward Yosaburou! Every night, the parlor of a restaurant in the red light district called Ghost Moon Tower showcases mysterious tales that interweave "strange things" and people's other desires.
