Ookido Yuu is an extremely tall girl who just entered middle school. Because of her height everyone is trying to recruit her into their sports club, even though she is terrible at them. Her childhood friend, Ken-chan, who is still in Elementary, keeps on telling her to join the Kendo club. But she hates Kendo because she never had a single victory against him. Haru Okamoto, a teenage girl who adores katanas, is just now entering high school. When she was little, she happened upon a katana in her grandparents' house. In their haste to get the blade from her, they agreed that when she was an adult, the katana would be hers. However, to her dismay, they do not agree that a 15-year-old, immature, excitable Haru is an adult! Luckily, she finds another outlet for her love of Japanese swords, the almost-defunct high school Iaido club! As Haru searches for new club members and tries to get over her fear of boys, she will become aware that her affinity for Japanese swords has a deeper source than she could have imagined!

Kojiro is an impoverished young teacher and the supervisor of his high school’s kendo club. He doesn’t have the leeway to spend time on his students–he can barely feed himself as it is. Set in the fantasy world of Material Puzzle, a manga done by the same author, Berji, Shuga, and Chrim live peacefully on a sparsely populated island. Berji and Shuga have unique talents that allow them to tame animals called Deathleon. On one peaceful day, an uninvited large ship arrives at their island. The ship belongs to the "Ironclad Giant" Suppression Team, and with them, they brought a piece of an Ironclad Giant. What this ship and its crew brings to the inhabitants of the island may change the world forever.
