Chizumi & Fujiomi

This is a cowboy shoujo manga set in the Wild West. Miriam is an orphan. Her father was a drunken gambler; she only had one dress and they moved from place to place, until one day her father died and Grace took her in. The series follows Miriam's life, growing up, and falling in love with her life-long friend, the skillful sharpshooter Douglas. First of the Miriam series (3 volumes), followed by sequels Jikan wo Tomete Matteite (3 volumes) and Sore nari ni Romantic! (1 volume). Seven volumes total.

On a rainy Friday, Yayoi makes an effort to go to the store to get a new pair of glasses. With her poor eye sight she ends up bumping into a guy who is soaking wet and this guy ends up helping her get to the store. He runs off quickly and Yayoi is unable to thank him. From that day onwards she labels him as Mr. Friday and has him constantly on her mind. Now her life is filled with wonder and questions as she fumbles to try and find the truth about who Mr. Friday might really be. Can it really be someone from her school? Also includes a short story, P.M. Dream, about a teenage girl who is considered to be very much like a cool guy. She is the daughter of the owner of a boarding house, in which the bearded Kuma-san boards.

This manga includes two different stories. 1) Harmony of the Stars (2 chapters) : The first one is about a girl, Yukiko, who is always doing what others tell her to do and a boy, Wada, who can't stand how his classmates always taking advantage of her naivety and kindness and tries to knock some sense into her. 2) (4 chapters) Mayuko and Sugikake's story : Mayuko had an unrequited love with her cousin and promised herself to not fall in love again but everything changes when Sugikake, her sempai in the volley club, starts picking on her.

Finally, Miriam and Douglas are a couple… sort of. With Douglas' unromantic, awkward ways and his determination not to fall head-over-heels in love with her, Miriam sees no romance in their future. But enter an assassin bent on killing Douglas for the damage he caused the criminal Cartel in "Jikan wo Tomete," and maybe things will turn out a little more romantic… in a way.
