There is a parallel universe called Gamindustri. A long time ago, in Gamindustri, a big incident took place. But the conspiracy of the 4 continent's Guardian Goddesses (Hard), crushed it and brought peace. This is the story of what happened after the Goddesses resolved the incident.
Based on a video game series which pokes fun at several facts and details of the gaming industry; even to the point were character names are affected. For example "Neptune" is a reference to Sega's cancelled "Neptune" console.
After years of fruitless war between the four realms of Gamindustri (Planeptune, Lastation, Lowee and Leanbox) over Share Energy, the source of their strength based on how much their people have faith in their goddesses, the four CPUs that rule over them have finally signed a treaty of friendship. The Treaty prohibits any attempt to use military force to share energy in the hope of bringing peace and prosperity to their worlds. And, a month after the deal, Neptune, the CPU goddess of Planeptune, spends her time playing games rather than doing her work, leaving the Shares of her land plummeting.
