Code Geass: Renya of Darkness

Edo period, 1860s, Japan. A young boy with a mechanical arm, Renya, encounters a mysterious ageless and immortal witch seeking partners for a new covenant. This witch, named Reifū C.C., also comes alongside a band of foreign soldiers from the far-off land of Great Britain, seeking a lost girl to return home with. Behind the British army stands a mysterious man with purple eyes and dark hair, with mysterious beings known as "knightmares" standing in opposition to Renya and his band...

The Empire of Brittania has invaded Japan using giant robot weapons called Knightmare Frames. Japan is now referred to as Area 11, and its people the 11s. A Brittanian who was living in Japan at the time, Lelouch, vowed to his Japanese friend Suzaku that he'd destroy Brittania. Years later, Lelouch is in high school, but regularly skips out of school to go play chess and gamble on himself. One day, he stumbles on terrorists 11s who've stolen a military secret and is caught by a member of the Brittanian task force sent after them, who is Suzaku. As the rest of the squad arrives, Suzaku is shot for disobeying orders, while the military secret, a young girl, gives Lelouch the power to make anyone obey any order. He takes command of the terrorists and leads them to crush the approaching Brittanian force. However, Suzaku is secretly made the pilot of Brittania's brand new test model Knightmare, Lancelot. Lelouch becomes the masked king Zero to lead the rebellion to defeat Brittania. This series follows Suzaku's side of the story, while Lelouch of the Rebellion follow's Lelouch's.

The manga centers on Iori Shijima, an ordinary high school student blessed with a good, common life. He has a cute childhood friend, lots of friends he can rely on, and a nice and beautiful mother. Additionally, his grades are good and he has a solid future plan. However, one day "transcendent beings" called ?TRAIL appear on Earth, and Iori's everyday live crumbles as he learns about the secrets of another world and the meaning to his own existence. [ANN]

An alternate Code Geass story in which Lelouch's fate is unknown after his meeting with C.C., whether he is dead or alive. Nunnally makes a Geass contract and gains the power to read the lines of the future. She also obtains a new body and takes up piloting an unusual Knightmare Frame.

Year 2018 of the Imperial Calendar. The nation of Britannia is in a time of great upheaval, with its newly crowned emperor stripping the country of many aspects deemed fundamental. Many take issue with the myriad changes falling into place, however, with the Knight of Zero at his side, the two are willing to back up their actions with their blades. All for the sake of the Zero Requiem... Note: It is highly recommended to watch the original anime beforehand.

A manga that re-imagines the anime's title character Lelouch Lamperouge as a part-time convenience store worker.

Year 2017 of the Imperial Calendar.The Black Rebellion has shaken the very foundation of Area 11. Ever since, reverberations of that event could be felt, with anti-Britannian terrorism rising in activity. In response, Britannian princess Marrybell mel Britannia leverages the empire's overwhelming military might to establish the anti-terrorist unit "The Glinda Knights", lead by Oldrin "Oz" Zevon, pilot of the powerful Knightmare Frame Lancelot Grail. In addition to the manga, there is also a photo story/light novel that takes place simultaneous to the manga, focusing instead on the terrorist Orpheus "Oz" Zevon.

A rather chibi version of the original Code Geass with a similar setting but in the Bakumatsu Era.

Following the original series, it began serializing the month after the first ended.
