Demonic Resurrection: Procession of the Saints

This is the latest story of the famous "Ninpo-cho" series of Yamada Fuutarou. It begins in 1638, during the Shimabara Rebellion, where a powerful swordsman who should have died is instead transformed by an arcane ritual into a demonic creature. As time passes, more swordsmen facing death go through this transformation. What could these new, demonic swordsmen be planning?

An adaption of various short stories written by Yamada Fuutarou. **First story:** "Kunoichi Kokihei" This story begins the year before the Battle of Sekihagara, in the pleasure quarters of the capital. Kagerou, a real beauty who is a child of the Ootani family, meets five of the most powerful men of the Uesugi clan while serving at a brothel.

The story takes place after the failed Shimabara Rebellion, led by Shiro Amakusa as a Christian uprising against the Shogunate. It ended… brutally, and Amakusa himself was executed. However, dark forces are at work, and Amakusa returns from the grave…

Now… Jubei Yagyu is the head of the Yagyu Clan following the events of Demonic Resurrection and has mostly retired from the world. A group of warriors decide to ask him if he wants to take over a post at their dojo, but Jubei is more interested in watching the Noh of his friend and subordinate Chikuami. Yagyu Jubei Dies is the third in Futaro Yamada's Jubei Trilogy that began with The Yagyu Ninja Scrolls and continued in Makai Tensho/Demonic Resurrection.

17th-century Japan. A rebellion in the Aizu teritory has been brutally crushed, leaving twenty-one brave warriors dead and most of the nuns of the local convent slaughtered. Now the surviving nuns have sworn to seek revenge. They turn to the greatest swordsman of the land to train them to be able to kill the fiends who slew the men and the other nuns.
