A one-shot based upon Takao Saito's classic *Survival*, published as part of a series by Shogakukan authors celebrating the turn of the century.

A Survival side story, set between the events of chapters 76 and 77. While travelling on his journey Satoru comes across a boy drowning in a river. He attempts to save him, though is swept away by the current and loses consciousness. Upon waking he finds himself in a mysterious city ruled over by a cruel tyrant. The chapters which make up Survival: Another Story were originally published in Shounen Sunday alongside the main series, and are included in the first 22 volume print by Shogakukan. However, later reprints have always collected the chapters into their own, separate volume.

On Feb 9th, 1989, legendary manga author Osamu Tezuka died after a prolonged hospital stay due to Stomach Cancer. Months later, Asahi Journal ran a Special issue as homage to Tezuka's legacy. In Kitakaruizawa, a human larger-than-life springs forth from the Kobayakawa Research Center in the middle of the night. A seinen take on Saito's classic **Survival**. It tells the drama of those who survived the fall of a meteorite on the Pacific Ocean after a failed destruction attempt. Cities are destroyed by big earthquakes, food runs short and illnesses spread quickly. In the midst of this scenario, Ootomo, the main character of this series, will do whatever he needs in order to survive.

Released in 2006 to celebrate Kochikame's 30th Anniversary, this special edition volume contains several pages of information and pictures related to Kochikame and the series' history. The volume also contains many one-page crossover illustrations from other authors, sit-down discussions with the author of Kochikame, and 5 crossover chapters with other famous manga series.
