Donten ni Warau

While trying to find a job, Manji, a for-hire bodyguard, also known as "Akainu" (Red Dog), meets Karu who works for "CARDS." Discovering that Karu's mission is to exterminate the deadly "TOYs," which mindlessly attack any living things, Manji can't help but forcefully tag along to relieve his boredom…

Living inside humans, and in the end, inducing the death of its host, the plant that can bloom into an enormous flower, also known as the "Shinigami's Flower", suddenly appeared in the world. It is a "God of Death" that doctors are unable to cure. The only people able to face such overwhelming power are the doctors of Gokurakuen, an medical Institution that travels around the seas. Ichinose Souma, a doctor of Class One in the Gokurakuen who is still unknown, receives a request, and pays a visit to the patients house. He thought it was an easy task, for the infection is still in the early stage, but however…

When swords were outlawed in the eleventh year of the Meiji Era, the mighty samurai population began to dwindle. Those who rejected the ban on blades rebelled, causing violent unrest to erupt throughout the countryside. To combat the rise in criminal activity, an inescapable lake prison was constructed. Three young men, born of the Kumo line, were given the duty of delivering criminals to their place of confinement – but could there be more to their mission than meets the eye?

Alternative world where Japanese culture kept its ground to this day and further. Protagonist, a female entertainer typical to Japanese traditional customs, finds herself swept into the world oh so familiar, and yet so different from the one she lived in so far…. a world where she has to fight to survive.

A new mission has been assigned to the Orochi subjugation unit, the Yamainu. The work never ends. Let's get to work, Yamainu!

The story is set 300 years before *Donten ni Warau*, during the Tensho Period. At Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan, the battle with Orochi ensued.

A series of side stories of Donten ni Warau series. Some of the stories take place before and some after the end of the main series.

The period is Kamakura, the age of onmyoudo and monster parades. A child appeared in the shrine by Lake Biwa, Kumou Shrine, asking for help. And then, it's finally time for those two. This is Hirari and Botan's story, finally completed. A story following after Donten ni Warau Gaiden with connection to Rengoku ni Warau.
