Monster and Child

An ageless immortal monster, who feeds on blood, lives in a house surrounded by a fog-shrouded forest. In general, he doesn't want any trouble with anyone and wants nothing more than to die. One day, a mute little boy ends up on his doorstep. Uncertain as to what he should do with the child, he takes him in, and the boy becomes his constant companion. Will the simple, innocent love of a silent child be enough to restore life to the vampire's bleak existence?

In Hades, the world where souls are dealt with, there are special individuals known as Enma, who have the ability to judge the lost souls. The Enma can decide whether souls go to heaven or hell, and are equipped with their own special weapon, known as a Judgement. When an evil soul causes a disturbance in Hades, Kouichiro’s powers as an Enma are revealed and he becomes the first person in twenty years invited to take the Enma exam. After having barely passed the exam, and been partnered with Chizuru, who is rumoured to be “the demon of the intelligence department”, just what will happen to Kouichiro next?
